ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet — Switch vs Mobile
TL;DR
- The US mobile listings show $12.99; Switch, Switch 2 and Steam list $19.99.
- Switch 2 has the higher listed resolution; the official maximum is 30 fps on every platform.
- Do not buy a second version assuming it can continue your current save: the checked sources do not confirm cross-platform save transfer.
Choose mobile if your priority is the lower listed price and playing on your phone or tablet. Choose Switch or Switch 2 if you want the game on a dedicated handheld with TV play on supported hardware. PC is worth considering if you prefer playing at a desk. Our recommendations use official listings and specifications, with reviewers’ performance reports identified separately.

Resolution figures are from Bandai Namco’s Japanese specification table. They describe the listed output, not a guarantee of sustained performance. Switch Lite does not offer TV play.
Switch vs mobile: decide by how you want to play
At the checked US prices, the mobile app costs $7 less than either Nintendo edition. If you already prefer playing on a phone or tablet, that is a straightforward reason to choose it. If you would rather keep the game on your console and move between handheld and TV sessions, the Nintendo editions suit that preference.
Touch is not exclusive to phones: Nintendo lists touch-screen support for both editions. Think about which screen you want to use for reading menus and placing furniture, as well as whether you want to carry another device. We have not measured input speed or ease of editing across versions, so there is no control-performance winner here.
Apple lists iOS 13.0 or iPadOS 13.0 and later. Bandai Namco recommends Android 9 or later with at least 6 GB RAM. Check the listing for your own device before paying, especially if you intend to use an older phone.
Switch vs Switch 2: separate editions
If you own a Switch 2 and are buying for the first time, the native Switch 2 edition is the sensible default at the same listed price: its official output is higher. Bandai Namco says there is no upgrade path from the Switch edition. Nintendo also lists the original Switch game as compatible with Switch 2, so playing that version on the newer console is different from buying the native edition.
Frame rate limits and actual performance
The official maximum frame rate is 30 fps for Switch, Switch 2, Steam and mobile. A higher-resolution version therefore does not come with a higher advertised frame-rate cap. That specification also cannot tell you how a crowded restaurant runs on a particular device.
Launch reviews differ: Siliconera reported slowdown in busy restaurants on Switch 2, while Pocket Tactics reported no performance problems on the same platform. These are the reviewers’ experiences, not a controlled comparison with mobile or PC. If performance is your deciding factor, check the review date, hardware and current patch notes rather than treating either report as universal.
Cloud saves are not cross-platform saves
Steam lists Steam Cloud, and Nintendo lists Save Data Cloud through Nintendo Switch Online. Those features should not be read as a promise that a Switch save can move to a phone or Steam. The official sources checked for this comparison do not confirm cross-platform save transfer. Choose the version you expect to keep playing before starting a long save.
PC vs Switch — and what about PlayStation?
Steam is another $19.99 option and lists Steam Cloud and achievements. Choose it if you prefer keeping the game in your PC library and playing on a monitor. Review the system requirements first. The official platform list includes Steam, Switch, Switch 2, iOS and Android; it does not list a PlayStation version, so there is no PS5 edition to compare with Switch.

FAQ
- Is Grand Gourmet better on Switch or mobile?
- Choose mobile for the lower checked US price and your existing phone or tablet. Choose a Nintendo edition for a dedicated handheld and TV play on supported hardware. This is a preference-based recommendation, not a claim that one version runs faster.
- Does the Switch version support touch controls?
- Yes. Nintendo’s US listings identify touch-screen support for both the Switch and Switch 2 editions.
- Can I transfer my save from mobile to Switch?
- The checked official sources do not confirm mobile-to-Switch save transfer. Do not assume that buying another version will let you continue the same save.
- Does Switch 2 or PC run at 60 fps?
- Bandai Namco’s specification table lists a maximum of 30 fps for every platform, including Switch 2 and Steam.
