How to unlock every Straw Hat in ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet
By stormland · Published
TL;DR
- You start with only Luffy and Sanji. The other eight Straw Hats were scattered by a storm.
- To get one back, find their poster on an outing, put it up in the restaurant, and wait for the right visitor to see it (Boodle for Zoro, Hachi for Nami, Kaya for Franky).
- Finding the missing crew is usually one of the five objectives in each sea.
- Every crew member opens a break room with its own job. Build Zoro's, Nami's and Franky's first.
At the start of ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet only Luffy and Sanji are on board the Baratie Number Two; the rest of the crew were separated in a storm. Here's where each Straw Hat's poster turns up, who has to see it, and what each crew member does once they're back. This is compiled from the Japanese strategy guides listed at the bottom, translated into the game's English terms.

Seas are numbered in the order you sail through them. Only the first one's English name, the Sea of Beginnings, has been seen in the English game so far, so the others show their Japanese names.
How the poster system works
- Explore. Send Luffy (and later others) out on outings. Posters drop at specific places, like Goat Island for Zoro.
- Put the poster up. Place it in the restaurant like any other decoration.
- Wait for the right visitor. A specific character who knows something about that crew member has to visit and see the poster. For Zoro it's Boodle, the mayor of Orange Town; for Nami it's Hachi.
- Welcome them back. The crew member rejoins, and their break room becomes available to build.
Finding the missing Straw Hats is usually one of each sea's five objectives, alongside outselling the fake Baratie and turning enough customers into fans. Clear all five to unlock the cooking battle that moves you on to the next sea.
What each break room does
- Zoro: training. Spend training points to level up the crew. Higher levels clear obstacles on outings, so build this first.
- Nami: a shop for ingredients and items, with 50% off one purchase a day. Once Nami is back you can also choose who goes on outings with Luffy.
- Franky: restaurant expansion, facility requests and furniture crafting.
- Usopp: the Usopp Factory, which makes decorations for your dishes.
- Robin: dish improvement. Spend ingredients to raise a dish's level, up to Lv99 with normal ingredients or Lv999 with rare ones.
- Chopper: treats customers.
- Brook: mini-games, and live shows that give training points.
- Jinbe: picks up customers from other seas, so you can still reach characters you left behind.
Crew members and dish ideas
The Straw Hats also give you ideas for new dishes. Luffy's ideas include Meat on the Bone, Zoro's include Sashimi and Wasabi Sushi, and Nami's include Orange Juice. Each crew member's page lists every dish they unlock, and the Recipe Finder shows which recipe card and ingredient each one needs.
FAQ
- How do I get Zoro in Grand Gourmet?
- Go on an outing to Goat Island in the Sea of Beginnings until you find Zoro's poster. Put it up in the restaurant. When Boodle visits and sees it, Zoro rejoins.
- How do I get Nami?
- Find Nami's poster on an outing to Foosha Village, put it up, and wait for Hachi to visit and see it. Nami's break room is a shop with a daily 50% discount.
- Why hasn't my crew member come back after I placed the poster?
- The poster only works once the right character visits and sees it. Keep the restaurant open and keep exploring so that visitor shows up; some arrive through other customers’ wishes.
- Which break room should I build first?
- Game8 recommends Zoro (training), then Nami (shop and discount), then Franky (expansion and furniture crafting).
