- Each of the eight seas has five sea goals (海域目標). Clear all five and a cooking battle against the fake Baratie begins.
- Win the cooking battle to open the next sea. If you lose, you can try again the next day.
- After The Most Treacherous Sea (sea 7) comes the post-game Sea of Wonders, with five goals of its own.
Story progress in Grand Gourmet runs sea by sea. Each sea has five goals; finish them and the fake Baratie challenges you to a cooking battle, and winning opens the next sea. Here are the goals for all eight seas.
How sea goals work
Sea goals mix the same few tasks: beat the rival restaurant’s daily sales, reach a reputation score, bring customers from that sea to the restaurant, turn some of them into fans, find Straw Hat crew members and visit outing spots. Goals that count customers only count customers from the current sea.
The cooking battle starts once all five goals are done. Each round names a theme such as meat or soup; dishes that match score extra, and very tasty dishes can win anyway. - Why hasn’t the cooking battle started?
- All five goals for the sea have to be complete. Check the goals that count customers: only customers from the current sea count toward them.
- Can I go back to an earlier sea?
- Yes. Once you have reached a sea you can sail back to earlier ones, and you can still expand the ship there.
- What happens after The Most Treacherous Sea?
- Winning its cooking battle ends the story and opens the Sea of Wonders (不思議な海). There, new customers arrive as your sales ranking rises, and the sea has its own five goals, including eight completed pages of the achievement list.
